Welcome! and thank you for the opportunity to introduce myself to you. I have been in real estate ten years now and have a broker associate's license, a Graduate of the Realtor's Institute designation(GRI), a Certified Buyer's Representative designation(CBR) , the CRS - Certified Residential Specialist's designation, and I am a member of the Iowa CCIM and the Corridor Commercial Round Table. I routinely enroll in CCIM classes and other business offerings to make sure I stay in touch with industry as a whole in addition to the local market.
My background? I spent the previous twenty plus years in the construction supply industry. With five locations, I found myself often involved in the commercial real estate business whether it involved a lease or a warehouse purchase or sale. My companies supplied commercial and residential building projects with construction materials, tools and fasteners. I am at home with a set of blue prints, scaled drawings, etc. I feel I know my construction pretty well and am just as good with steel studs as with wood. Twenty years working with the public laid a good foundation for this part of my career. Customer service was the priority then and is still the priority now.
Before my construction days, our family farmed in northeast Iowa, and yes, I have milked cows, sorted sows, made hay and herded cats! Been there and have the t-shirt. All jokes aside, I wouldn't have traded that family time for anything. My sons learned early what it was to earn a dollar and just how hard it came. I am proud to say my three sons all worked their way through college holding full time jobs and still graduated on time, and one in three and a half years.
I average 36-42 transactions a year -- ending this 2010 sales year at $9 million dollars in sales and more importantly -- feel I have the knowledge and ability to make sure you are happy and comfortable with the real estate process and the results obtained from that process.
